Women In Film & Television/Houston (WIFT) is a chapter of the preeminent entertainment
industry association for women worldwide. A nonprofit membership organization, WIFT is
dedicated to helping women reach the highest level of achievement in television, film, and
other moving-image media and promoting equity for women in these industries.
Houston’s WIFT brings together professionals who work in all areas of the entertainment
industry - - above and below the line. It is part of a network of over 40 chapters
internationally, representing more than 10,000 members that began in Los Angeles over 30
years ago.
The Houston chapter was chartered in 1995 and has over 200 members including men, college
students, and corporations. Men are welcome as members and encouraged to join. WIFT works
toward building community within the industry for everyone.
